description 🔗

DL-Light allows, from the early phases of design, to study the luminous ambiances, to calculate many daylight related metrics, to verify their compliance with the most common labels and referentials (BREEAM, LEED, etc.) to check their correspondence with the intentions of the architect, the urbanist and the clients.

To stay fully integrated within the design process, DL-Light works as an extension of SketchUp modeler.

It optimizes the balance between speed and reliability of results and expresses results in a graphical way that is immediately understandable.

To ensure reliability and ease of use, DL-Light combines the validated ray-tracing algorithms of Radiance with an attractive interface.

It uses the results of the latest research in Daylighting and in simulation techniques.

It currently includes the calculation of:

  • Sky Factor and Right of Light
  • Horizontal Sight Angle
  • Horizontal Sight Angle (EN 17037)
  • Daylight Factor
  • Average Daylight Factor
  • Median Daylight Factor
  • Daylight Factor for EN17037
  • Method2 (Daylight autonomy) for EN17037
  • sDA spatial Daylight Autonomy
  • ASE Annual Sunlight Exposure
  • LEED credits
  • Daylight Autonomy
  • Exposure to direct sun
  • Sky View Factor
  • Energy received in Watt/m²
  • VSC
  • APSH
  • No Sky Line
  • SEPP65 Daylight
  • Watt Reduction Factor
